The company I work for partnered with Tracy and Colonial Life to provide coverage for employees. We were offered a variety of policies but in the end, Tracy had helped me sign up for the accident policy through Colonial Life in November 2019. I never expected to need or use this policy, but the benefit made sense. In May 2020 I fell in my home and broke my femur. The injury was traumatic, but while recovering, I reached out to Tracy and she was incredibly helpful and sincere and helped me through the claim process. The process was simple, and the payment was quickly made to me. This helped me cover expenses during the 10 weeks I was out of work due to the injury. Without this benefit, my life would have been much more complicated in trying to cover expenses.

I began short term disability through Colonial Life Sept 1st 2017. I also added the cancer coverage for myself, my husband, and son who lives at home. On Sept 20th, my beloved husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. We were quite literally “plunged” into aggressive treatments from brain surgery to radiation to chemotherapy all within about 4 months. There was no time to catch our breath or to manage the medical bills that were beginning to show up. My husband had good medical insurance however it didn’t cover everything.
Had it not been for Colonial Life stepping in to send money for us for the various treatments my husband went through, I would have had to fall back on Medical Assistance, but CL was a God-send! Because of the money we received from them, we did not have to resort to Medical Assistance but were able to keep our heads above water!
Colonial Life was very responsive and quickly got a check out to me for every medical treatment category that paid out. Through it all, my representative – Tracy was there as advocate and as a friend who seemed to understand what we all were going through.
